| Special package for journalists demanded | | |

Jammu, July 6: National Chairman Modi-Shah mission Raju Chandel has urged upon lieutenant Governor led administration to announce a special package for the journalists working on the ground.
In a statement issued to media, Chandel states that journalists are our COVID warriors who risk their lives to provide authentic information particularly during the ongoing coronavirus crisis where fake news has become a big challenge.
“We all should stand up to support them and pressure J&K administration to announce a special package for them,” he said.
Chandel said journalists have provided us with accurate and authentic information during the present crisis.“They are our heroes who are working round the clock to make sure our people are informed as to the deadly virus ricochets through our towns and our families", he said.
While appealing to Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu led administration to personally look into this matter and announce a special package for the whole fraternity.
“The need of the hour is to design & draft a special economic package for our media fraternity
He also urged Ministry of Information and Broadcasting along with the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) J&K to immediately come to their rescue at this crucial stage.
“Covid19 is no less than a world war wherein the media is also infantry and front line corona warriors.
Entire media fraternity & journalist brigade should be provided PPE kits, face masks, sanitizers, temperature, etc for their welfare from the government,” he added. |
