JAMMU, July 17: Jammu and Kashmir is going to be a hub of socio-economic boom in a few years from now, especially when it will be linked to the Capital City via a six lane Katra-Delhi Expressway, survey on which is going on. Once constructed and made fully operational, this stretch will enable Jammu and Kashmir business community, traders, travellers, students and all others to travel from Katra to Delhi in six hours only, thereby increasing the frequency of every activity aimed at developing our Union Territory. Lauding the efforts of Union Minister in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh, for pursuing this project vigorously and connecting maximum villages with the highway so that they too get benefitted, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri today said that this project is likely to change the fate of Jammu and Kashmir. The development of the proposed Expressway has been taken under Union Government’s Bharatmala Pariyojana. Raman Suri said that this world-class, six lane expressway, while offering the option of shortest route from Delhi to Katra via Amritsar, will connect several hundred villages and provide them an opportunity to develop. Also, the comfort of the devotees coming to pay obeisance at the Cave Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, he said, will increase many fold as they will be travelling on safe and comfortable expressway that is going to be first of its kind and the longest in entire India. Raman Suri said it is for the first time in history that India led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is growing at such a fast pace and is emerging as a world leader. |
