SAMBA, July 18: Member Parliament, Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma today chaired the meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee– ‘DISHA’ to review the physical and financial achievements under various centrally sponsored Schemes being implemented in Samba district.
The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jitender Mishra, Assistant Commissioner Development Sidharath Dhiman, Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour, Chief Medical Officer, Rajinder Samyal, besides district officers of Social Welfare, PDD, PHE, PWD, Education, member of DISHA, Sarpanches, Member of civil society, and other prominent persons were also present.
At the outset, the DDC presented a detailed powerpoint presentation on the achievements and progress made in the district under different schemes and informed about the status of various ongoing developmental projects.
The MP took a comprehensive review of physical and financial achievements of MGNREGA, MUDRA, PMGSY, PMAY-G, NRLM, PMUJ, PMKSY, PMUY, SAUBHAGYA, IWMP, Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen, Ayushman Bharat, ICDS, Social Welfare and others.
The DDC apprised the MP about the action taken report on the decisions taken in the previous meeting of DISHA. He also informed about the number of works completed under MGNREGA, Jal Shakti, horticulture and others depts which includes, water conservation and water harvesting, micro irrigation works, flood control and protection various ponds, check dams, vermi compost units have been developed.
While giving details on social welfare schemes, it was informed that Samba district has achieved 100% coverage of Pensions under National Social Assistance Programme. About PM-Kissan Samman Nidhi, it was informed against the total 44174 Farmer Families, 28499 have received 1st installment, 27290 2nd installment , 23409 3rd installment, 10496 4th installment and 9757 5th installment.
Regarding Ayushman Bharat, the meeting was told that the golden card has been issued to 31000 families against 56203 registered families, while 563 persons have benefitted involving an expenditure of Rs 45.65,Lakh.
Under PMDP, 3 projects were sanctioned, of which PHC Sumib building has been completed, PHC building Utterbeni is at plastering stage and for additional building- block at District hospital Samba foundation and basement walking has been completed.
Giving details on SBM-G, it was informed that 83% achievement has been attained as 653 IHHL and 94 community sanitary complexes have been completed in the district.
The MP instructed the concerned functionaries to make sure that the benefits under various Central Sponsored Schemes must reach the deserving beneficiaries. He also stressed on creating mass awareness about the Central Sponsored Schemes for their effective implementation at the grass root level.
Meanwhile, the MP assessed the detailed report of Vijaypur-Ramgarh road and Ring Road, construction of Community Halls in blocks under MPLAD, details of Purmandal-Utterbeni development plan, and other proposed projects. He instructed the concerned authorities and the executing agencies to expedite the work on the prestigious projects for their timely completion. He set deadlines for projects and directed district officers for strict adherence.
The MP also took review of the Covid-19 management in the district and said that district administration is working efficiently even amid the pandemic crisis.
MP laid emphasis upon optimum utilization of available resources and instructed the concerned officers for regular monitoring and follow- up of all ongoing development works to achieve quality parameters. He exhorted upon all the officers to work with a servitude attitude and make sure that no one should be left out from the ambit of schemes rolled out by the Government of India.
