BMS demands welfare schemes for unorganised workers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 18: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has demanded welfare schemes for the unorganized workers. According to press release, BMS welcomed the State Govt labour department decision of certification scheme to stream line the inspections under different labour legislations and it will give benefits to workers and their service condition will improve. The BMS further appealed the Govt that all the registered establishments should be inspected through computer generated lists of establishments and there should be a provisions for inspection on complaint basis and inspections should be conducted jointly by the Labour officials, PF Inspectors Factory Inspectors and ESI officials and all the individual officials needs to stop inspections as it lead to mal practice at the cost of poor workers. BMS further appealed that a common register of all the workers working in shops and establishments, motor transport, Hotel, Dhaba, workshops and small rehri fharies etc must be maintained Wither covered under statue or not their names must be maintained in state wide common register for providing welfare schemes in covid like situation and fee collected as registration/ renewal of establishments / vehicles be used for the welfare of these workers. |
