AJKYF urges govt to change class IV eligibility criteria | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Aug 2: All J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF), District Ramban demanded change in new recruitment policy which has debarred many degree holders and helpless highly qualified youth from taking part in class IV special recruitment for which JKSSB recently advertise 8575 posts in various departments in UT J&K. JKSSB has advertised 8575 class 1V posts, with a disputed policy as administration has fixed a maximum eligibility 12th class, while leaving thousands of degree holders in lurch. District Convenor Muzaffer Malik a Post Graduate scholar in English said that government should abolish the notification and issue a fresh notification to make all degree holders eligible in the recruitment process and there should be a clarification from the administration regarding the new eligibility criteria. He added that it is sheer violation of fundamental rights to equality in matter of employment. He urged government to reconsider and allow all the unemployed youth to take part in the recruitment process. The aggrieved aspirants threatened for mass agitation, if the eligibility criteria would not be changed for these posts. The aspirants also stated that they would approach court for the same. District Executive member Imran Farhat, another Post Graduate scholar said that in the past 6 years there was no major recruitment held in J&K which leads to higher unemployment rate in J&K. He urged government to change the discriminatory eligibility criteria which has made their degrees useless.
