Jammu, Aug 7: Horticulture department Panchari zone today organized a farmers’ awareness camp at Galiote.
Naib Sarpanch Surjeet Singh, panch Khem Raj , farmers and orchardists participated in the camp by wearing masks and keeping social distancing due to COVID-19.
While addressing the camp, Horticulture Technician Sanjeev Singh exhorted on availing incentives on departmental Schemes under CAPEX and CSS during upcoming spring season 2020-21.
He said that the incentives available on Area Expansion Programme, Creation of water Sources including Dug well/ Bore well, Water Harvesting Tanks, Protected Cultivation,Power Tillers, Tractors, Vermi Compost Units, On Farm Handling Units and other components will positively raise the economic status of the farming community. He also emphasized on timely completion of works to ensure proper expenditure and also informed about KCC horticulture scheme. Horticulture technician also elaborated on various insects/ pests/ diseases of different fruit crops during these days and explained different ways to control them.
Horticulture Technician Koushliya Devi ,Panch Khem Raj,Ram Krishan Dhar, Badhri Nath Banjal, Panch Ranu Devi and Dalip Singh etc were present on the camp. |
