JAMMU, Aug 7: Stephens College of Nursing (under the aegis of Dr Aparna Educational Trust) excelled in national level online photography competition and plantation drive which was organized by NSS unit and Red Ribbon Club and Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu and JKSACS Department of Medical and Health Education J&K, on the occasion of the world nature conservation day. The theme of photography competition was nature’s pictures of infinite beauty & the theme of monsoon plantation drive was ‘Plant trees to save nature’. A large number of NSS volunteers, students, scholars, teachers and parents participated in it by adhering the SOPs laid down by administration under COVID-19. The participants had to click the beauty of Nature & Planting a sapling at their respective home or garden and upload their clicked photographs for which an online form was created. Many participants participated from different schools, colleges, universities of MP, Delhi, Gwalior, Coimbatore, HP, UP, Kerala, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Tamilnadu, Assam, Chandigarh, and both divisions of J&K. Nearly 336 participants across country while 76 from Stephens College of Nursing highest among all took part in the competition. Dr Kamal Saini, (IGP Retd) Chairman SCON and Satvinder Saini (Director SIPS) applauded and congratulated all the participants and motivated them to preserve nature. |
