Sinha’s appointment as LG will check ‘corrupt practices’ of J&K BJP leaders | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 10: Appointment of a mature leader and close confidant of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah as Lieutenant Governor (LG) of J&K has surprised all BJP leaders from J&K. Manoj Sinha is not only a three-time Lok Sabha member but he is also a close Prime Minister and Home Minister. Credible sources in the BJP said that appointment of such a mature and honest politician as LG of J&K would also help the Centre to check misdeeds and corrupt practices of some party leaders in J&K who have influenced the previous LG, Girish Chander Murmu. “Being a gentleman bureaucrat Girish Chander Murmu was not aware of the deceitful and corrupt practices of some J&K based BJP leaders who were misusing his name to further their petty personal interests”, sources revealed and disclosed that Centre has received numerous complaints about corrupt practices being adopted by some BJP leaders after implementation of Central rule in J&K. “Manoj Sinha is senior among all incumbent BJP leaders of J&K. He is a very mature politician known for his credibility and honest”, sources said and revealed that he has been appointed as LG of J&K to check local BJP leaders who have been shamelessly indulged into influencing the administration by abusing their position. “No BJP leader from J&K is equal to the caliber and experience of Manoj Sinha so his appointment would help in checking such corrupt practices”, sources said and added that secondly Sinha has direct communication with the Prime Minister and Home Minister. Sources said that during his tenure as general secretary incharge of UP, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had seen working of Manoj Sinha so Home Minister is very much aware that a leader like Manoj Sinha would also help in checking wrong doings of J&K BJP leaders. |
