Jammu, Aug 21: Continuing the drive to provide better development as well as Civic amenities to the people of Jammu City, Chander Mohan Gupta mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith Surinder Singh Chowdhary Councillor of Ward No: 29 today conducted an extensive tour in the various localities of Shakti Nagar & its adjoining areas and kick started the upgradation of drains and construction of lane number: 10 Shakti nagar Jammu of ward no: 29 by laying of best quality tiles at the estimate cost of Rs. 17 Lakh only. S.K. Bhatt, Bal Krishan Raina, Sunil Kumar Junior Engineers alongwith field staff of JMC, concerned contractor were also accompanied the Mayor during the tour of the area.
Besides this, Atul Bakshi, Sahil Sharma, Rakesh Bari, Randir Singh, Pawan Sharma, Raj Kumar & other prominent inhabitants of the ward were also present there. Mayor met with them and listened to their grievances regarding sanitation, disilting of Nallahs, rectification of defunct street lights, encroachment & traffic problems in the main bazaar of Shakti Nagar during peak hours, lifting of stray dogs/animals etc. Mayor listened to them with great patience & assured that all their genuine issues would be resolved on priority basis. |
