Govt has no policy for employment generation: Kundal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA, Aug 21: Lamenting the government for lack of vision to provide jobs to unemployed youth, the senior JKNPP leader and ex-minister Yash Pal Kundal said that the present dispensation has no specific policy for employment generation. Addressing a press conference here today, Kundal said that not only the job avenues are scarce but those engaged as daily wagers in PDD, PHE, Education Department are also suffering because the Government has not implemented the SROs as well as guidelines for regularizing them after completion of 7 years of service. He also told that their wages are not released in time. After the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A the entire system is totally derailed. The democratic set up has been abolished. The administrators are not discharging their duties properly and there is no check on them. He said that during 2004, the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir had started the Self Help Group Scheme whereby the unemployed youths by framing groups were earning their livelihood but the present government has abolished it. He urged the Lieutenant Governor to start the political process in the Union Territory so that the grievances of the public can be redressed and also appealed to keep a check on the administration so that the aggrieved people may not suffer. |
