Early Times Report
NAGROTA, Aug 21: Prominent residents of Nagrota today joined the sit-in-dharna to press their demand for early resumption of work on the Degree College announced last year, regretting that non-serious approach of the administration is forcing the people to take agitational path. “We are constrained to carry on our protests as it concerns the future of our children who too deserve a level play field for academic excellence, which can be achieved only when the facilities are available at door steps”, the opinion leaders, sitting on dharna said. Being held under the aegis of Nagrota Sangarash Samiti, the protestors hailed the visit of the Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education to the complex site the other day and assurance held to consider their plea. Continuation of peaceful stir is just to emphasise the need for early execution of work on the Government Degree College here in the true spirit of the decision taken by the State Administrative Council. The department must walk the talk and ensure that the work is taken up at the earliest and completed within stipulated time frame, they said. Those present included Rameshwar Dutt, Sanjay Sharma, Ravi Singh, Kulbushan Singh and others. |
