AIKS discusses several issues related to relief | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 21: All India Kashmir Samaj (AIKS) held a meeting discussed under the leadership ofCol Tej K Tikoo (Retd), President AIKS to discuss the important issue. It was resolved during the meeting to bring the issue to the notice of the Lt. Governor J&K UT and Financial Commissioner Revenue, Jammu & Kashmir Government. Speaking on the occasion members informed that as per Government Order No. 52-JK(DMRRR) of 2020 dated 16.05.2020, Kashmiris living anywhere were asked to register themselves with Relief & Commissioner (RC) Jammu, before they could apply for issuance of Domicile Certificate. Similarly, SO166 was issued on 18 May 2020 as J & K Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules 2020. It is well known that the displaced Kashmiris are scattered throughout globe. Therefore, the online procedure was welcomed and appreciated by all displaced people. However, the online procedure has so many glitches that the displaced community is losing patience and has started doubting the intentions of the government of Jammu & Kashmir’s UT. Accordingly, AIKS has sent the letters to the Lt. Governor and FC Revenue apprising them of the difficulties faced by the applicants while submitting documents online (copy of the letter to the governor and the grouse are attached).
