JAMMU, Aug 24: Social activist Zahid Ahmed Bhatti castigated the administration for its failure to provide basic amenities to the residents of Bhatindi’s Shankar Nagar locality in Ward No 49 on city outskirts. Bhatti said that the people residing in Shankar Nagar are still living in the dark era as no one is paying heed towards the genuine demand of the residents. In a statement, he said that the roads in Shankar Nagar’s Lane No 2 are in dilapidated condition, but no efforts were made during popular governments to improve the conditions of roads in the despite the lane is adjacent to popular visitors’ destination, Wave Mall at Bhatindi. He said that discarded and worst conditioned lane needs immediate attention of Lt Governor’s administration. He requested the administration to initiate construction and renovation work of the lane. Bhatti appealed to Lt Governor and his administration to take it into note and direct the concerned authorities to take up the restoration work of the lane without wasting further time so that the people get justice without any delay. |
