Kathua, Aug 24: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Kathua, under the directions of Director General Youth Services and Sports Saleem Ur Rehman and overall the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua Sunil Kumar started inter school Zonal Level Sports Trials for All Age Groups Boys in the disciplines of Football, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Badminton here at Sports Stadium Hiranagar. The trials are being organized under the Convenrship of Zonal Physical Education Officer Hiranagar Yog Raj Sharma and officiated by Avnesh Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Jagdish Chander, Kuldip Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Parmodh Kumar and Karanjeet. A total of 92 players of 29 Schools of Zone Hiranagar participated on first day of trials for football. Three teams of U-14 years Boys, U-17 years Boys and U-19 years Boys selected for further competitions to be held at District Level. The players and staff members of Youth Services and Sports adhered the advisories in respect of COVID-19 including uses of sanitizers, Masks and maintenance of social distancing.
