| Bureaucracy has no connect with people, governance invisible on ground: JKAP leaders | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Aug 30: Intensifying political activities in Gool-Arnas assembly constituency, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) leaders and workers today organised a meeting to discuss local issues faced by the people like bureaucracy not listening to the people, slow pace of developmental works, employment issues of educated youth. In a statement to the press, the JKAP leaders and workers from Sangaldan falling in Gool-Arnas Assembly Constituency of Party’s Vice President and Former Minister Aijaz Ahmed Khan organised a meeting in which BDC Chairman, Thuroo Choudhary Makhna, Ex-PCC Member, Altaf Tragwal, Ex-PCC Member, Haroon Lohar, Ex-Congress Block President Sangaldan, Rafiq Khan, Ex-Congress Block President Dharam, Fayaz Ahmed Khakmath, Gulzar Ahmed Shan, Rafiq Choudhary, Raheem Shan, Khadim Wani Ex IYC Block President Gool, Sarpanches Mohammed Shafi Khan, Saleem Ahmed Mullah, Maghae Ram, Ex-Sarpanches Tahir Choudhary, Ghulam Nabi, Farooq Ahmed Naik, various senior and youth of JK Apni Party Qasim Din Kumar, Ghulam Ali Lohar, Ghulam Hussain, Mohammed Shafi Khan, Farooq Bhat, Rashid Lohar, Rafiq Ahmed Kumar and Abdul Gani Mir and others participated. The JKAP leaders alleged that “The people in rural areas are facing problems because the Government officials do not listen to them. The administration from tehsil, block to district level has lost connection with the people.” They expressed their faith in the leadership of JKAP President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari, and Vice President of the Party, Aijaz Ahmed Khan. The JKAP leaders appealed to the Lt Governor Sinha to issue necessary directions to the administration to listen to the people in rural areas especially and redress issues of the people on priority basis. They said that the developmental works have happened which should be restored. In view of the damages caused due to the heavy rains in upper reaches, the JKAP leaders demanded three months free ration and compensation to the families who lost their houses, crops, animals and live-stocks during heavy rains. Besides, they also demanded that the railway company should engage locals in the project and the outsiders should not be employed in the project in Ramban. Gulzar Ahmed Shan said “It was decided by the JKAP leaders that we will hold meetings in every block and village of Ramban District like the August 25th meeting in Gool and today's meeting in Sangaldan to further strengthen the party and resolve the issues of people at doorstep.” |
