Jammu, Sept 5: A police party of Police Stastion Akhnoor was on patrolling duty in Sohal area, during patrolling found one person coming from opposite direction, on seeing the police party tried to avoid it.
Whoever, noticing his suspicious behavior police party nabbed him and during his personal search 54 quarter of 180 ml Desi whisky were recovered from his possession. During further questioning he disclosed his name as Charan Dass son of Mangat Ram resident of Badgal Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu.
Taking cognizance, a Case FIR no. 138/2020 U/S 48(a) excise act has been register at police Station Akhnoor. During the course of investigation above mentioned accused person has been arrested in the above mentioned case. The swift action of police was appreciated by the general public of the area.
The recovery was made by incharge SHO Akhnoor, SI Satish Chander, under the supervision of Ajay Sharma, SDPO Akhnoor. |
