Jammu, Sept 5: JKPCC Minority Deptt held a meeting under the leadership of Gurdarshan Singh Vice Chairman and alleged that BJP govt is demolishing the spiritual ,cultural and emotional quotient of minorities in the country and strongly condemning the act of union government for declaring only English, Urdu, Kashmiri, Dogri and Hindi as official language of Union Territory of J&K and keeping out Punjabi from it. He further said that till 1981 Punjabi language was compulsory subject like Urdu in J&K and now it's totally neglected. “We strongly condemn the move as anti minority saying the Punjabi was very much part of the J&K Constitution and Punjabi was a part and parcel of the constitution of J&K before the abrogation of article 370 Punjabi was a recognized language duly certified by the constitution of J&K. |
