JAMMU, Sept 5: To mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as Teachers’ Day, a function was oragnized by Punjab National Bank at Zonal Education Office Jammu in which Neeraj Anand, Deputy Circle Head Jammu felicitated outstanding teachers by presenting shawls to them in the presence of Haneef Mohd Hackla, Zonal Education Officer Jammu. Also under Corporate Social Responsibility program Bank donated computer sets to ZEO Jammu as a step forward towards Digital India.
Speaking at the occasion, Neeraj Anand appreciated the efforts of teachers in imparting education in the society especially during COVID-19.
He also lauded the efforts of teacher community in supporting the respective district administrations by rendering their valuable services at Airport, railway station, bus stand etc.
He further added that teachers are incredibly important to society & we are thankful to them throughout the year, it is indeed great to have a day dedicated to them.
Haneef Mohd. Hackla appreciated the gesture of Punjab National Management and hoped that this gesture will bring more dedication in their teaching work to raise the standard of Education and create moral values among the students. |
