Taekwondo community celebrates Taekwondo Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 5: Atul International Taekwondo Academy (AITA), athletes, fans and members of the J&K Taekwondo Association today celebrated Taekwondo Day and the 20th anniversary of the sport’s Olympic debut at Sydney 2000. Taekwondo day is celebrated every year on September 4 in commemoration of the IOC’s decision on that day in 1994 to include taekwondo on the Olympic program. All the players of AITA and Members of JKTA along with Parents celebrated Taekwondo Day and made a pledge to play honestly with best sportsmen spirit and win medals for UT of Jammu & Kashmir and India. President JKTA DN Pangotra congratulated all players and their parents on this special day and he said parents are playing a vital role for their children to indulge in sports activities and support them to achieve higher goals and also congratulated all the Districts units from Kashmir region and Jammu region on this occasion.
