JAMMU, Sept 29: The decision of Union Territory JK Government to provide financial aid to all needy and indigent artists having suffered monetary loss following breakdown of cultural activities due to Covid-19, different Artists Associations of Jammu under the umbrella of All Artists Association (AAA), Jammu have hailed the step for extending helping hand to tide over the problems of Artists during Covid-19 crisis. A meeting was held the other day at Trikuta Palace, Jammu in which Presidents and members of Kalakar Association, Jagran Welfare Association, Choreographer Association, Sound DJ, Light Association etc as well as main body of All Artists Association, Jammu were present. During meeting, a joint committee was framed to make further action plan for welfare of artists fraternity during Covid-19, which has crippled all the activities of artists of Jammu Division putting them in serious financial crisis. It was unanimously decided that different wings of artists associations shall work under one roof with All Artists Association, Jammu as Nodal Body to jointly fight for rights of artists and also to work out modalities for creating conducive atmosphere for work under the pressing circumstances. All the Artists expressed profound gratitude to the LG Governance for compassionate considerations of problems faced by Artists and providing financial relief to artists. All the wings presidents and members present there include Surinder Manhas, Rakesh Anand, JR Jackson, Urja Slathia, Kamal Wadhera, Tilak Raj Gupta, Paramjeet Titu, Deepak Kumar and others. |
