| Gursai Nallah village without water for last many days | | |

MENDHAR, Oct 3: Gursai Nallah village in Mendhar area of Poonch district and its surrounding hamlets are without water supply for the last 45 days due to which the locals are facing lots of hardships.
The residents of Gursai Nallah and about half a dozen adjoining villages are suffering badly due to the failure of PHE Department in restoring water supply to the area. The villagers alleged that the water pumping station at the village went out of order about seven weeks ago but the concerned PHE authorities failed to get it repaired and restore supply. They said that the matter was brought to the notice of concerned JE, AE and even the AEE PHE Mendhar but they have not taken this matter seriously.
The locals said that the public is suffering due to the scarcity of water in absence of a proper supply, adding that no alternate water supply has been ensured by the PHE Department so far.
