SFs recover suspicious object, unexploded shell still in panchayat ghar | | | Early Times Report
Baramulla, Oct 3 Security forces recovered a suspicious object beneath a bridge while a Pakistani unexploded shell was found in a panchayat ghar in a border village in this north Kashmir district, official sources said. They said a Road Opening Party (ROP) found a suspicious object under a bridge at Hanjiveera Pattan in Barmulla Saturday morning. However, the area was sealed and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) summoned, they said adding the suspicious object was removed. During the past one month security forces recovered powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by militants in Barmulla and Kupwara. Meanwhile, a report said an unexploded shell , fired by Pak troops remained in a panchayat ghar at border village Churandah, Uri since December last year. The villages alleged that despite taking up the matter with the concerned security and civil officials, shell remained in one of the seven rooms of the panchayat ghar. |
