Step motherly treatment to Jammu region continues:Harsh | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Oct 4: “With successive governments at the centre and the erstwhile J&K state doling out a step motherly treatment to Jammu region, the people of incarcerated Dogra land have continued to remain neglected and deprived. The concerns of people of Jammu have always been disregarded and downplayed and the present BJP led govt was no exception in this regard. Jammu is presently paying the price for having supported BJP which continues to take its people for granted. The BJP is living under the mistaken belief that the people of Jammu are naive and that it is indispensable and therefore it would not make any difference even if their aspirations are overlooked”. This was stated by Harsh Dev Singh who was addressing a huge public gathering at Sumb in Samba constituency along with Yash Paul Kundal Ex Minister and State president of the Young Panthers. Accusing the govt of administering recurrent dozens of discrimination to Jammu region even after Art 370 abrogation, Mr. Singh said that the people had gradually lost their faith in the BJP regime and its policies. Referring to the recent order issued by the govt with regard to creation of posts in education department, he regretted the extremely biased treatment given to Dogri and Sanskrit subjects which are taught in Jammu region. “And while the govt approved merely 5 posts of Dogri and 22 posts of Sanskrit, it approved creation of 122 posts of Kashmiri language, 150 posts of Islamic studies, 60 posts of Arabic for Kashmir. While the creation of additional posts for Kashmir was welcomed, the provision of negligible share to Jammu in the process of new creations of the posts had once again exposed the double standard of the helmsmen. It was followed by another announcement by the present govt to absorb the gun wielding youth in govt jobs or in self employment schemes in case they gave up arms. Again it is the BJP rule during which the proposal for doubling the scholarship of wards of slain militants was mooted whose fate however is uncertain as on date. |
