Jammu, Oct 4: Jammu Central University Shakshik Sangh (JCUSS) organized a talk on the topic “Role of Women in AtmaNirbhar Bharat: Gandhian Perspective”. Dr. Nirmala Yadav, Additional General Secretary, Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) and also Principal, Mahatma Gandhi P G College, Firozabad was the Chief Guest and Pinkesh Lata Raghuvanshi, Member Governing Board, Barkatullah University, Bhopal was the key note speaker While deliberating on this subject, Raghuvanshi emphasised the various roles that women have been playing in our country since times immemorial. Yadav in her address, expressed that Gandhian philosophy incorporated swachhta, ArthikSawalamban , and Grameen vikas. And in the India 2020, these philosophies are being followed in letter and spirit by the various schemes and policies of the current government. She hailed the idea of the government to include farmers in for their upliftment and nation building. She further stressed that women have to be made self dependent as “Rashtrisya shva Naari Asti” woman is our tomorrow. Earlier Dr. Yashwant Singh, General Secretary, JCUSS formally welcomed the august gathering and shared the initiatives taken by JCUSS.
