RAMBAN, Oct 4: The Back to village -3 phase-1 culminated in 67 Panchayats of four blocks of Banihal, Ukhral, Khari and Ramsu here on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan visited several Panchayats and asked the PRIs to utilize the available funds for need based development in their Panchayat Halqas. BDC Chairperson, Ramsu, Sahfiq Ahmed, BDC Chairperson, Banihal, Rashida Begum, SSP, Haseeb-ur-Rehman, ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu, SDM, Ramsu, Dilmir Chowdhary,BDOs and general public attended the programme. The DC asked the PRIs and general public to register their demands in the visiting officers’ book which would be considered as a basic document for formulating development plan at any level. He urged the people to stand up for their rights and know about the government schemes meant for their socio economic development. A passenger shed was inaugurated by the DDC at Panchyat Bankoot, where he also listened to the issues raised by the people. He passed on the spot directions to officers to resolve issues on priority basis. He also distributed the sanctioned bank cases among SHGs and other beneficiaries on the occasion. A Volleyball tournament was held in Panchyat Chamwalwas, where the DDC gave away the sport kits to the PRIs for the youth of their Panchayats. The DC asked the people to provide full support to the police and administration in curbing the drug menace. PRIs highlighted their demands including restoration of water supply scheme in Chareel, strengthening of QRT Ramsu, installation of electric meters, fencing of HS Ramsu premises, construction of overhead bridge, establishment of accidental hospital at Ramsu, construction of new building of GHSS Chambalwas, up gradations of schools, completion and construction of road projects and cremation ground at Ramsu.
