| Excise team conducts raids on dhabas along NHW Udhampur | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Oct 9: On the directions of Excise Commissioner, J&K UT Rajesh Kumar Shavan and Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Amarjeet Singh, Excise team of Udhampur-Reasi Range under the supervision of ETO Rupali Vaid and led by Inspector Aquib Rashid along with Inspector Raj Singh, Sub Inspector Ratan Slathia and Guard Hitesh Sharma carried out random raids on local dhabas along National Highway (NHW) Udhampur. The Dhabas were searched and simultaneously directed to desist from carrying out any kind of trade of illicit/illegal liquor and other narcotic substances.
The team also interacted with the locals, distributed contact numbers and created awareness among people regarding consumption/smuggling of illicit liquor and drugs. Excise Inspector Aquib Rashid said that these activities will continue till the menace of illegal/illicit liquor and drugs is completely rooted out.
