POONCH, Oct 10: District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Rahul Yadav today chaired a meeting to review the progress of Cluster Tribal Model Village and finalize the Detailed Project Reports (DPR)s for various works
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Madan Lal; Assistant Commissioner Development, Rajesh Lakhan; District Panchayat Officer, Mukhlis Ali; CEO Tourism, Dr. Tanveer Ahmed; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Assistant Director FCs&CA, Block Development Officer besides Executive Engineers of different departments.
A threadbare discussion was held in the meeting regarding the finalization of DPRs for the cluster model villages. An amount of Rs 40 crore has been sanctioned for the development of the Cluster Tribal Model village which includes Rs 10 crore each for Model village Gursai Mendhar; Khari Karmara Poonch; Dara Dullian Salotri Poonch and Dara Morha Bufliaz Poonch.
The DDC said that the DPRs should envisage the provision for modern basic amenities, Education, Health, Skill Development, promotion of Horticulture, Agriculture, Dairy, development of Tourism infrastructure and generating self- employment avenues for tribal population in the areas.
He directed the departments to submit the DPRs for the projects within two days so that work on them can be started within shortest possible time to benefit the tribal population.
