NEG starts counselling for eligible students in JK UT | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 15: Nizamia Education Group (NEG) has formally started counselling process for students eligible for free education under Nizamia Scholarship in Jammu. Addressing a press conference, Founder, Maqsood Ahmed said that education is passport to the future and tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today, so Group wants to give opportunity to students from Jammu & Kashmir. “This year due to Covid-19 pandemic we could not conduct entrance test in April so we will select students for scholarship on the basis of merit. Around 500 students from Jammu division will be selected for the scholarship”, said Maqsood Ahmed. He said that 500 students from Kashmir have been already selected. “Due to covid pandemic we could not provide free laptops and tablets to students who have filed their application forms for the same. They will be provided these items next year. India-China border tension has also affected our efforts as we could not import the electronic products”, said Maqsood Ahmed. He said that Nizamia Education Group started as a coaching centre, preparing students for the competitive world in year 2008. About 150+ students from classes ranging from 8th till 12th were a big part of the institution. “After achieving success in Jammu and Kashmir, we established Nizamia Educational Group- an educational company consulting students all across the country”, Maqsood Ahmed said.
