| Sailani village faces severe water crisis | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
MENDHAR, Oct 16: The residents of Sailani village Poonch district are facing acute water crisis for past several months.
Several locals of the area claimed that while they have been facing this problem for the past several months but there is no redressal to their grievance.
“People are facing hardships due to lack of water in Sailani village,” said Sarpanch Khalid Hussain Chauhan, adding that there is severe shortage of potable water in Sailani Panchayat as a spring which was the only source for drinking water has also dried up.
He said that at least three hundred households are suffering due to water scarcity, adding that people also have livestock but with no water around they are unable to keep them.
Sarpanch said that there should be an inquiry into the almost defunct Water Supply Scheme from Magiad to Sailani.
