ABVP stages protest against indifferent attitude towards students’ issues

JAMMU, Oct 16: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad staged a strong protest at Jewel Chowk against PMO Dr Jitender Singh for ignoring the students’ issues as the students are not getting admission in the Cluster University of Jammu.
Protesting ABVP activists played a bean in front of a buffalo while they raised slogans against the Principal Secretary of Higher Education, Vice Chancellor and Dr Jitendra Singh. Meanwhile, the police administration had a scuffle with the students and the state Secretary Mukesh Manhas, state Joint Secretary Nandita, Pradeep, Jammu Mahanagar Secretary Akshay, Akash, Rishabh, , Prateek, Nitan , Ankit Rana, and, Gaurav, Shubham and including the many students were also arrested and brought to the police station.
After the demonstration, ADC Jammu assured that a meeting of students would be held immediately with Principal Secretary Higher Education.
ABVP Jammu Kashmir State Secretary Mukesh Manhas said that why the people of administration are sitting silent on this whole issue, why our elected representatives are keeping continuously moon on this issues, when students are on road. Police are beating students and our elected representatives are sitting in AC rooms.
State joint Secretary Nandita Sharma said that the administration is trying to suppress them by resorting to lathicharge.
