JAMMU, Oct 25: Leaders of Jammu - Shiv Sena Balasaheb Thackeray Jammu and Kashmir unit performed Shastra Puja on the occasion of Vijay Dashami here today. Party State President, Manish Sahni, while greeting the people of Jammu and Kashmir for Dussehra, said that on the day of Vijayadashami, Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Rama ended the Lankapati Ravana. Apart from this, Maa Durga also killed Mahishasura on this day. There is a tradition of arms worship on the day of Vijayadashami. He said that arms worship on the day of Dussehra is considered to be the best. Vijayadashami signifies the victory of good over evil and truth over untruth. Sahni, while advising the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to follow the right path, said that the country and national interest should be of paramount importance, not being seduced by the selfish leaders. Simultaneously, Shiv Sainiks warned separatist leaders active in Kashmir to rein in anti-national statements and said that their alleged behavior shall not be tolerated at any cost.
On this occasion Women Wing President Meenakshi Chhibber, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Secretary Raj Singh and President Reasi Bhuri Singh were also present. |
