| DPEO reviews DDC election preparedness in Udhampur | | |

UDHAMPUR, Nov 4: District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla today convened a meeting with Nodal officers and AEROs to discuss the election preparedness for upcoming District Development Council /Panchayat By-Elections 2020 in the district.
The DPEO briefed all the designated officers about their duties and responsibilities during election and advised them to work in an impartial manner and utmost dedication to implement MCC and other guidelines of Election Commission in letter and spirit.
During the meeting, DPEO said that all the arrangements have been done and ground work is completed for smooth conduct of DDC and panchayat by- election in the district. He informed that 661 polling stations have been established in the district for DDC and 17 each vacant Panches and Sarpanchs positions in Udhampur district. The DPEO asked the BDOs to facilitate the ROs and AROs and ensure that no eligible voter is left out of registration in the electoral process in the district.
The DPEO impressed upon the officers to work in the coordination and synergy for smooth conduct of elections. DPEO stressed on all officers to ensure the COVID-19 SOPs are followed during the election process. |
