Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 7: Aashran Mahajan, a singer/songwriter born and brought up in city of Jammu, has completed his second EP "Hisaab-Kitaab" during the period of lockdown. Inspite of the various movement restrictions and air travel restrictions, he was able to make an entire album just by communication over calls and hours of dedication to the craft, along with undying trust in the musicianship of all the artists involved. Music is a collaborative art form, despite not being able to communicate with all the musicians at the same time, still getting the best out of them was the biggest challenge according to Aashran. The album is a product of over four years of song writing, and took 8 months of effort to complete it along with various musicians gathering and producing their craft over various video calls, and telephonic conversations. The drums were being recorded in Indore, Trumpets and post-production in Delhi, Aashran himself delivered the vocals and guitars from Jammu, and everything was settling in at Sameer Rahat's Baqsa Studios in Mumbai.
