| Prof. Zamir Mirza elected as Staff Secy PG College Rajouri | | |  Early Times Report
Rajouri, Nov 7: Teaching staff of Government Post Graduate College Rajouri today elected Prof Zamir Ahmed Mirza, Associate Professor PG Department of Chemistry as new Staff Secretary of the College for next one year. The election for the staff secretary of the College was contested by Prof. Zamir Ahmed Mirza and Prof. Riaz Ahmed Mirza. The election notification in this regard was issued by Prof. Mohd Farooq Mirza, who is the Chief Election Commissioner for intra college elections. Five contenders filled in the nomination forms out of which three namely Dr. Naseem Ahmed, Dr. Mohd Akhlaq and Dr. Sheraz Ahmed later withdraw. The election was later contested closely between Prof. Zamir Ahmed Mirza and Prof. Riaz Mirza. During the election 29 votes were polled in favour of Prof. Zamir Ahmed Mirza and 25 votes were polled in favour of Prof. Riaz Mirza.
The election was very successfully conducted by the election commission in a professional manner and in a very peaceful and cordial atmosphere. Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmed Raina later congratulated the newly elected staff secretary of the college and assured to execute all academic and co academic works along with the staff in a cohesive manner. Entire teaching and non teaching staff of the college also congratulated the newly elected staff secretary and assured unity and integrity among the entire staff.
