Kathua DDC reviews performance of banks at DLRC meeting

KATHUA, Nov 7: District Development Commissioner, Kathua Om Parkash Bhagat, today reviewed the performance of banks here at a meeting of District Consultative Committee (DCC)/ District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Level RSETI Advisory Committee (DLRAC). The meeting reviewed the progress related to the flow of credit, performance of banks in key areas relating to deposits, advances under priority sector, Govt. Sponsored Schemes, lending for the quarters ending 30 June 2020. The performance of RSETI, Kathua was also reviewed. The DDC, who is also the Chairman of District Consultative Committee, reviewed the progress under CD ratio, cases under KCC, New KCC( Dairy, Poultry, Fisheries and Sheep Husbandry), PMEGP - KVIB / KVIC / DIC / NULM, NRLM Handloom / Handicraft, PMAY with special emphasis on credit linkage of beneficiaries under these schemes.
He emphasized upon banks to simplify the systems and procedures so that maximum beneficiaries are credit linked under various schemes for generation of employment.
The DDC advised all departments and banks to conduct awareness programmes on self-employment schemes and incentive based schemes for youth, farmers, artisans and encourage them to set up new units and take up new economic activities.
He also exhorted the banks to exploit all resources at their disposal and come out with concrete action plan to increase present CD-ratio of 41% to minimum 60% by the end of Second quarter of 2020-21. The DDC advised all banks to cover maximum number of persons with 100% penetration under social security schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Suraksha BimaYojana, Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana and to issue RuPay Debit Cards to all eligible a/c holders.
The DDM, NABARD, Amit Kumar, discussed the agenda of GOI for the Doubling of Farmers income through Central Sector Schemes like CSS-FPO scheme and Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF).
