Founder members deserting PDP, Mehbooba busy in projecting notorious rape accused
11/17/2020 11:46:41 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 17: While as founder members are quitting the party due to surrendered before the arch rival the National Conference, president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is busy in projecting controversial activists in the party only to demonize and sideline those who were associated with late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
On Monday, Mehbooba Mufti visited some areas where members of Tribal community were evicted from the forest areas. Instead of taking senior leaders, Mehbooba preferred to take a rape accused- infamous for his highly provocative and communal speech.
Interestingly this rape accused has posted pictures on social media in which he was standing with former chief minister.
Mehbooba Mufti visited Pahalgam, once a stronghold of PDP. There are number of mass base PDP leaders in Pahalgam associated with the party since its formation but she was accompanied by rape accused known for creating communal divide in the society.
Earlier Mehbooba Mufti had directed Jammu based senior leaders including founder members to accept dictates of this rape accused -who has been projecting by the party to put Jammu region on fire by instigating people in the name of religion and ethnicity.
The rape accused, who is on bail, was introduced in the party as young face of the party and a clear message was given to Jammu based leaders that they have to accept this rape accused as their leaders otherwise ‘doors are opened’ for them to leave the PDP.
This rape accused had not only tried to give communal colour to the heinous crime at Kathua in the year 2018 but had also tried to demonize local deities of Dogras and whole Dogra community. During ‘MeToo’ campaign one scholar of JNU had accused this rape accused of raping her. Earlier the same rape accused had been arrested for allegedly raping a woman in Samba district. He was arrested following a complaint lodged by a woman who is his relative.
His estranged wife registered a case against him for allegedly torturing her and demanding dowry. He was granted anticipatory bail two months after being arrested by the Court in the case.
