AP demands review of leaders security aftermath death of constable | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Dec 14: Apni party demanded review of security of political activists in the Kashmir valley following strong comdemnation of the killing of a police Selection Grade Constable (Sgct) of Jammu and Kashmir police Manzoor Ahmad Yatoo by suspected gunmen in Srinagar on Monday. In a statement Monday noon, AP provincial president Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir Monday criticised the Natipora-Srinagar attack on Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader in which Yatoo lost his life. Mir expressed solidarity with the bereaved family of the slain constable and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. "These violent incidents are inhuman and will yield nothing except death and destruction," Mir remarked. He urged the J&K government to take a review of the security of political activists and take necessary measures wherever required. "The government should also disburse adequate ex-gratia relief to the family of slain cop who was the sole bread earner for his family," he demanded. |
