| Gurmeet Kour inaugurates culvert | | |

Jammu, Dec 14: Continuing to fulfil long pending demands of residents of Ward 69 of Sainik Colony, Councillor Gurmeet Kour Randhawa inaugurated the work of construction of culvert at Babbar Chowk.
The residents highlighted that the colony remained neglected for last 30 years for development work but finally the works have started at a rapid pace under present Corporator. This specific area of Babbar Chowk was getting waterlogged during Monsoon and water getting into our houses for last 10 years. All our efforts to remove this waterlogging failed to materialize except fake promises. The residents, present during the kick-starting of work appreciated the systematic approach of Councillor Gurmeet Kour Randhawa in handling the works and cooperation of departments. The councillor assured the resident that she will leave no stone unturned to ensure development of the Colony. The work for construction of office of the Ward also stand approved and the JMC is waiting go-ahead from the management of Sainik Colony Cooperative House Building Society Ltd to commence the work. The resident will find a permanent centrally located point to lodge their day to day complaints rather than visiting the resident of councillor whose location changes every five years.
