Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 14: Jammu Police on Monday claimed to have cracked a dacoity case by arresting a tribal gang in Bishnah area here on city outskirts. Police spokesman said that a tribal gang which struck last year in Bishnah, attacked family members and fled away with gold ornaments, has been caught by the Police. A case was already registered into this incident, he said and added, "after a complainant Sunita Devi of Palli Chak Jaralan, Bishnah stated that on the intervening night of September 4-5, 2019 at about 0100 hours heard some sound of thundering, when she woke up she saw some unknown persons forcefully entering into the house who had sticks in their hands and had beaten family members mercilessly with the intention to kill them and looted gold ornaments and cash." After commission of offence all dacoits fled away from the spot, in this incident subsequently a case was registered and investigation started. After minutely accessing the modus operandi of the gang investigation team Zeroed in on Shahrukh Khan of Pilani, District, Jhunjnunu, Rajasthan, Mohabat, resident of Pilani, District, Jhunjnunu, Rajasthan, Sawan, resident of Pilani, District Jhunjnunu, Rajasthan, Rehmaan of Chadwa, District. Jhunjnunu, Rajasthan and arrested them from Punjab. The gang members are tribals from Rajasthan, police said. During the course of interrogation, police said that the accused persons disclosed the name of one accomplice, Aslam alias Nosoo, a resident of Rajasthan who is also the gang leader. After the arrest of Aslam from Punjab and when put to sustained interrogation the accused confessed involvement in the theft and on his disclosure gold worth Rs 4 lakhs was recovered. |
