| GDC Vijaypur organises Online Guest Lecture | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 16: Young people live in a society in which creating sustainable career opportunities is complex. Guidance is crucial to support motivated, smart career- choices and prevent early leaving from education and training for a number of reasons. Appropriate guidance helps young people understand their learning needs and career preferences based on their strengths and characteristics rather than stigmatizing them as “bad students” and generating feelings of inadequacy which can lead young people to have an active, engaged attitude to education and learning in general.
With this in mind, GDC Vijaypur organized an online guest lecture on the topic, “Empowering the Youth for Career Success” in which Brig (Dr.) Vijay Sagar Dheman was the resource person, a leading Defense and Strategic Expert and Internationally Accredited Soft Skills Facilitator.
He has also worked as Additional Director General of NCC in nine states and Vice Chancellor of Guru Kashi University, Bathinda. In his motivational lecture, Brig. Dheman emphasized that every individual wants to succeed in life. Everybody wishes to excel and the formula to achieve success is through attitude or soft skills.
Soft skills are personal attributes, typically linked to how a person works and interacts with others, which are necessary ingredients for success and career development.
