AKHNOOR, Jan 12: NSS unit of GDC Khour celebrated National Youth Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda who is regarded as a patriot saint of modern India & an inspirer of national consciousness. A lover of mankind, Vivekananda strove to promote peace & brotherhood. On this occasion an online quiz competition on the life and works of Vivekananda was conducted in which more than 60 students from different colleges participated. Under the guidance of Principal of the college Prof. Hans Raj the event was organized by NSS, Programme Officer, Gurvinder Kour and Dr Neetika Sharma, HOD Sociology. Speaking on the occasion the Principal lauded Vivekananda's message of "Awake, Arise and Stop Not Until the Goal is Achieved" to the students and staff of the college. |
