Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 12: Munish Gupta, Editor in Chief, Early Times has asked the administration to come up to the expectations of the people living in the Jammu region and solve the problems living in the different areas of the city.
Referring to the problems being faced by the people of Gandhi Nagar constituency Munish said that many areas of this constituency have been left to the mercy of God. He said that despite repeated reminders the people at helm have not taken any step to solve problems of people.
Munish said that people of Sector C-3 East Extension Trikuta Nagar have been facing many problems. He said the condition of the roads of the area is bad and the same needs to be improved so that people feel the difference.
“Roads are most important component of the life of citizens living in urban or rural areas. The roads of the area are in pitiable condition and no step has been taken to improve the condition of these roads. The problem on account of this need to be fixed and that too at the earliest so that people no more feel alienated,” said Munish.
The residents of Sector C-3 East Extension Trikuta Nagar are of the opinion that they are at the receiving end since the roads of the entire area are in a dilapidated condition. The residents said that roads of the area are presenting a sordid saga of absolute neglect and dilapidation.
“Since the roads are in dilapidated condition it is important that condition of same is improved. During the summer season the dust that comes off the roads leads to multiple problems for the residents. During the winter the mud and dirt add to the woes of the residents of the area,” said the residents.
The residents said that clear cut directions should be issued to the sanitation staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation to lift the garbage from the area. They said that once the garbage is lifted there would no collection of the same in the drains thus leading to overflowing of the drains.
“The basic problem is that concerned people do not do their job with honesty. As a result of this we have to encounter the problems. It is important that the concerned officials are put to task so that they deliver to their best level on the ground when it comes to Sector C-3 East Extension Trikuta Nagar,” said the residents.
The residents said that lanes of the area also need to be developed since they are in bad condition. They said that roads should be developed according to the modern day demands adding that this too should be done on priority.
