| Marwah people hold protest against no help to fire victims | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, Jan 11: The inhabitants of Marwah held a strong protest against the administration failure to provide help to the fire victims who lost their homes in tragic fire incident few days ago.
As per the details available with Early Times, the angry people slammed the administration for the absence of the government officials and closure of the offices sanctioned for Marwah sub Division.
The angry people raise slogans against the administration since despite the lapse of 4 days since when 3 residential houses completely destroyed in tragic fire incident, the administration fail to reach to victim families with any kind of help. “All the offices including BDO office, Tehsildar Office and other offices are closed .
All the officials left soon the result of DDC Elections was declared and since then no one return back” said that angry people who are being pacified by the SHO Marwah who is the only senior official present at Sub Divisional Headquarter Marwah. After hectic efforts, the SHO Police Station Marwah managed to pacify the protester who demanded action against the absent employees. “I have conveyed your message and concern to senior officials your concern are genuine” SHO Marwah could be heard telling the protesters. After protesting for several hours, the people disbursed off peacefully and threaten to lodge indefinite strike and protest in case the government fails to make the Marwah based offices functional at Marwah. |
