| Reasi Administration celebrates Lohri with women SHGs at Malair | | | Early Times Report
REASI, Jan 13: District Administration Reasi today celebrated Lohri festival with women Self Help Groups here at Malair. The aim was to promote and encourage women to form self help groups in the district and also to ensure that their products reach out to the masses. The Self Help Groups from Reasi and Pouni participated in the celebrations along with the products.
Deputy Commissioner, Indu Khanwal Chib, held a detailed discussion with the SHG members about the kind of products being manufactured by them. She sought their suggestions for improving the quality and production of the products to cater to the demand of the general public. The Deputy Commissioner said that Self Help Groups can play a major role in sensitising other women to form SHGs and in making them realise its importance in their empowerment. |
