| Traffic awareness drive held | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 16: On Road Safety week that culminates tomorrow, a traffic awareness drive was held in Main Bazar Chowk, Nagrota by the NCC/NSS student of GDC Nagrota along with the help of Jammu and Kashmir police personnel of police station Nagrota.
An effort was made by all members of this campaign to create awareness by sensitizing the public towards the importance of safety while driving and walking on the roads. The NCC/NSS cadets ensured that traffic rules are being observed by the civilians properly.
They also made the mini buses commuters aware about the seating arrangements and the reservations of ladies seats in the mini buses. Earlier the Principal of GDC Nagrota Attar Singh Kotwal exhorted the students of college to observe traffic rules not only in this week but during the whole year also.
Prof. Avtar Singh of Department of Urdu, who was the convener of this programme, discussed the role of students involved in this program in implementation and following the road safety rules. |
