Srinagar, Feb 21: Four persons, including a wildlife department official, were injured in a leopard attack in south Kashmir district of Shopian on Sunday. Official sources said that a leopard entered village Meemander in Shopian from a nearby forest when people were busy with their daily lives. “The locals immediately informed the wildlife department officials,” they said, adding that a team was immediately rushed to the spot. They said four persons were injured in the incident, adding the wild animal later escaped back into the forest. “The injured were immediately taken to a local hospital,” they said, adding two of the wounded were to Srinagar hospital in a critical condition. |
