Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 22: International Mother Language Day was celebrated in the campus of Government Degree College Bishnah. A one day lecture was organized where the Professors from Languages awared the students about the importance of Mothers Tongue Language and laid stressed upon the languages which were on the verge of extinction. They urged the students to inculcate their language in their day to day life. The students also participated by reciting poems and songs eulogizing the different mother tongues like Dogri, Urdu, Punjabi, Pahari. The programme was organized by the Cultural and Literary Committee Prof. Rashmi Arya (Convener), Dr. Sarita Khajuria (Member), Prof. Sunil Kumar Saliada (Member)and Prof. Sunil Kumar (Member) under the Patronship of Dr. Anuradha Pandoh Principal of the College. Dr Hardeep Kaur, HOD Economics, Professor Archana Bakshi, HOD English, Dr Alka Sharma, HOD Education,Prof D.S. Manhas HOD Chemistry, Dr. Suman Bala HOD, Botany, Staff Secretary Prof. Amit Kumar Sharma and other faculty members of the college including the students graced the occasion. |
