Border villages of Nowshera deprived of mobile network | Towers installed but lying non functional | | ankit kessar Early Times Report RAJOURI, Feb 28: Several border villages in Nowshera sub division of district Rajouri have been facing huge problems due to absence of mobile network in their areas. Shockingly there are some villages where mobile towers were installed but these have been lying non functional. Non availability of the mobile network in many villages including Kalal, Gagrote, Chadyala, Dharyala and some areas of block seri has aggravated the problem of the people, who cannot connect to the administration for help during Pak shelling. The residents of the Kalal village alleged that they had to face huge problems during shelling. "It seems very surprising that we are living in 21st century but have been deprived of mobile networks. There are many areas where very weak network is available and for making calls, they have to move to another place wherever they get a network," they alleged. "Few mobile towers were installed in Kalal village when Ajaz Asad was Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri district but no network was given in them. The previous administration hoodwinked the people just by installing towers. We cannot even make calls to our near and dear," they said. They further said that the study of their children has affected a lot due to no network. "Due to Corona, students continued their study through mobile in entire Jammu and Kashmir but our children could not do their study due to non availability of network," they said. They appealed to the new Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Rajesh Kumar Sharavan to intervene into the matter so that the suffering of the people of border villages might be mitigated. |
