JAMMU, Mar 20: Disasters may be natural or manmade needs immediate attention of all the concerned agencies and to supplement the efforts of the Government, the Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region has been working throughout for helping the needy in many ways. Recently, in Shakti Nagar, 10 jhuggis and their belongings were completely destroyed in the devastated fire incidence that occurred on March 17.
10 kgs Rice, to each of the family, blankets, Mattress, stoves, washing soaps, buckets were distributed by Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in presence of Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation and Vinod Malhotra, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region.
