2 LeT OGWs arrested in Budgam, incriminating material recovered | | | Srinagar, Mar 31: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and recovered incriminating material in central Kashmir district of Budgam. A senior police official said that following specific information, a joint team of police, 53 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 43rd battalion of CRPF arrested two persons involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to militants in Hyderpora and Humhama areas of Budgam. “The arrested militant associates have been identified as Aquib Ahmad Wani and Aadil Manzoor Mir,” he said. He said the accused have been in touch with Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) commanders through various social media platforms. “Incriminating material of proscribed outfit LeT have been recovered from their possession,” he said. He said a case FIR number 68/2021 has been registered against the militant associates at Police Station Budgam under relevant sections of law. |
